About Edwards Engineering
Edwards Engineering (Liverpool) Limited is a family owned business, formed
in 1979, with a proud reputation in precision engineering. The senior founder
director Ted Hassall had over 40 years experience in the design and manufacture
of top quality gravure and anilox printing cylinder bases when he retired
in 1993 to be succeeded by his son Steve, also a founder director. Their
combined knowledge and experience dates back to the 1950's when rapid developments
in packing technology demanded improved high speed print processes and started
the growth of the flexible packaging industry we know today.
Current print technology, improved packaging materials and modern high-speed presses are far removed from those of the 1950's and Edwards Engineering have continually improved their manufacturing techniques to maintain their customers and the industry.
Now as the only ISO registered supplier of gravure and anilox cylinder bases to the printing industry, Edwards Engineering has developed significant working partnerships with its customers to ensure that bases are supplied to customer requirements and within agreed delivery schedules. In 1991 the company was awarded BS 5750 accreditation which has since been superseded by BS ISO 9002:1994.
